Maurice MaybenMaurice Mayben has a wide personal and professional background.

He was raised in Warwick, Rhode Island and graduated from Warwick Veterans Memorial High School in 1971.

He served in the U.S. Army Armored Cavalry in Germany from 1973-1976 and the R.I. Army National Guard 20th Special Forces Group (Airborne) from 1976-1979.

Maurice earned his B.S. degree in Finance and Management at the University of Rhode Island in 1979. The same year he entered the U.S. Air Force and served eight years, piloting and instructing in F-4 Phantom jet fighters.

He has earned the rank of Black Sash First Degree in Kung Fu San Soo. He has passion for writing, firearms, martial arts and liberty.

After 17+ years with American Airlines, flying Boeing 757s, 767s and MD-80s and -90s, he retired as a Captain in 2005.

Maurice has been writing how-to and narrative non-fiction and political commentary for deccades and was the 1998 Libertarian candidate for the U.S. Congress in California's 40th district.

He and wife Marcia have four children, five grandchildren and one great grandson. The Maybens travel the country in their motor coach, Emmanuel.

His upcoming works are MANIFEST SECESSION: A PROPOSAL FOR PEACE AND LIBERTY, contemporary socio-political non-fiction, and THE WARLOCK PARALLAX, a special operations-espionage fiction thriller.

Maurice also offers his professional services as a ghostwriter of novels, autobiographies andĀ narrative non-fiction.
